Ok
So no feedback...Here is some from me...
I got so lost trying to find this dam on my first outing there. Drove around for a couple of hours and then realised that the entrance through the water works is on the Oyster Bay side and not the Humansdorp side... I should have done my homework.
I finally arrived, set up a rod for carp and then launched the kayak to go look for some bass while Mrs Squidpaws manned the carp rod.
Only fished for about 3 hours before we had to pack up to leave at 18h00 when the gates close.
Blanked out and caught nothing

I went back there yesterday and lost a big fish. I think it was a carp. My line got stuck on some structure under water. I was using a 2 hook set up and I guess the free hook must have got hung up on structure. We also caught one small kurper on a small #1 spinner.
After a beautiful day on the water exploring a small section of the dam it was time to leave again.
As I packed up a bakkie pulled in with a friendly local Afrikaans guy. We shared some words and he told me that this dam holds 15 different species of fish and that white worms works well for bass...
Well I'm off to the local tackle shop in Humansdorp and St Francis to see if I can get any more info.
Will be going to the dam again soon to try my luck.
Will post more info as i get to know the dam...
