Cape Point Report:
I went out into the deep yesterday. Water was ccccooooolllldddd in the point all day from my reports. 12 degrees...

6Nm to the west, it was a very different story. Thousands of tail as far as you could see... There was a heavy current line 18.5 deg on the western side and 12 on the eastern. My mate came over some swell and landed on them. They started trolling and vas...vas...vas...vas Small tail though, in the 2 - 6kg class. There were a few longies further out in +-16 degree water...

We went out +- 20 miles (I think) There were a few yellows about, but managed to elude us!

PERFECT Conditions out there. Little or no wind and no swell. 20-21 deg water...

I heard some spearo's over the radio commiserating over a lost yellow. Sorry mate! My heart sank for you.

Anyway,
That's all from me.
Cheers,
L

thanks for report ledge. we were all packed to go for tuna yesterday but decided not to after hearing not much was landed on monday and the warm water is quite far out.
went for a shore dive at hangklip instead, but the galjoen must have heard the season is open. very few around for 16 deg water.

Hey Scaley

We picked up our first skippies and longies at about 15Nm in the am. They had moved in by the afternoon. The warm water had moved in to where the current line... at 6Nm. Some Yellow's were landed about 13-15Nm out. The longies were definitely as close as 8Nm... From what I heard. Not like last week Wed when we picked up a few at bellows! On the western side of the reef! What a geluk!

Chat soon,

Hi gents, I am from KZN but am in CT at the moment and probably will be for the rest of the month. I have my dive gear with me and am super keen to shoot my first tail and possibly a tuna. I dont have access to a boat, so if there is anyone looking for crew or could point me in the right direction to getting a ride out, I would really appreciate it.
