I watched a DVD of Hennie PAPENFUSS a couple of years ago at a friend's House.
There was a guy demonstrating how to make yr own hook sharpner - very easy steps , not bulky , & perfect grip in the one hand while sharpning the hook. I made mine , used it since then very often and thought I will share his idea with those anglers who may have not seen it , & also love gadgets.
Although most hooks are sold chemically sharpened , one will have use for it after a while.
All you need is a pre-cut, fairly hard block of wood 9,5x4,5x2,5mm, and a slot cut into the top, one or two wing nuts & bolts, centred , & 2 round files of 9,5x .4mm.
Make sure the wood is not to hard , as it can crack under pressure.
