I shall appreciate it if any of the regulars can help me with information.

I am going to Stellenbosch during December and would like to find out if there is any bass venues in the immediate area of Stellenbosch.

Any info will be appreciated.

I came across the Theewaterskloof Dam on Google earth. It seems that it is a good bassing venue.

Does anybody know this water?

I am planning to take down my rubberduck with electric motor and hopefully this will help getting to spots away from the accesible bank.

this was nekkies last week. http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=11965&forum_id=32&page=6

any other lures for the smallies? not much confidence in cranks.

went to nekkies like 2 months ago. fish were nailing the topwaters and white flukes in the mornings. whenever the action died down, I switched to senkos and spinnerbaits and would get a few more

If you dont feel like going out of stellenbosch, there is a dam over the hill behind coetzenberg (spelling) sports grounds. Ive been there a few times its ok. The only down side is that there is the farm workers houses right there and the you get quite a following.
Otherwise there is Jonkershoek trout farm if you are up for some fly fishing and Klein Plaasie dam a little bit further up the road.

apparently this poison pesticides that the farmers were using for the plants got into the dam and killed off allot of the fish :(

Im going to be in the Stellenbosch area this Friday afternoon.
Are there any other dams that anybody might know of for me to fish later in the day. I dont want to fish that dam behind coetzenberg again.
I dont mind having to pay to get to the dam so any info will be great

If you know someone in Welgevonden Estate (R44 outside S'Bosch towards Klapmuts). The small dam there has lots of small bass. Seen some bigger ones, but haven't caught them yet. Good fun though.
