If you are lucky, then the Bronzies might come in at
Mile 8. Contact Mev Spyker to hear if Bronzies have arrived yet.

The Namibians have an inter club league this weekend, just North of Henties but within 1 hours drive from Swakop, Simen and Anton will be able to tell us what's been coming out.

It's probably still a bit early for the Bronzies but if you don't have a bait in the water you'll never get a bite.

If you're there go fish, put a bait in and even if you don't get a Bronzie you'll more than likely get a Spotty or Hound. Some big ones between Miles 8 and 11.

Today's fishing  was not all that hot for the guys targeting edibles, although a number of young cob and 3 reasonable size Steenbra was landed.

The guys targeting ineds ( Spotty, Bronzie, Cow) seemed to be better off. A number of Cow and Spottys were landed and 2 bronzies with the heaviest being 74kg.

We fished the area from Trappies ( just north of Henties) to mile 68. Weather was great in the morning, slightly cold with no wind untill around 13h00.

I contribute the bad edible catch for the day due to the extremely strong side wash that there was.

Swakop and surrounding -- sorry wont take a chance to predict there as I don't know the area.

No one that I am aware of.
Your best bet will be to contact a local guide for the days fishing. They provide, transport, bait, tackle and refreshments.
Usually they will put you on fish and or sharks when available.

I recommend you visit Tide Out Fishing and talk to Paul.He will tell you if Bronzies are in.
Buy a couple of Haarders, Mackerel, Pilchards and Mussels.
Drive to Mile 8 and first try just south of the reef for Spotties.(haarder head)
There after, Go North, about 400m from the toilet and cast for Bronzies.(Mackerel)
Further north you will find the Wit klip(cob)
Just south of the campsite border of mile 14 you find an old river mouth.(galjoen area)
Inside the camping area you might find all species.
You can fish for cob either early or late afternoon on the stretch between the toilet and a bit south of the sandbank.
A good spot is also opposite the wreck at mile 11.
My advice is not to remain at one spot too long, except waiting for a Bronzie.
