I am really keen in buying a jetski for fishing. But want to know what is the limitations regarding this like limited launch sites etc. Would like to find someone to go out once or so to see how do they prepare and where do they launch etc. Also if you are single how do you get Jetski in water etc..lots of questions I know...

I think the ski must be longer than 3 Meters, otherwise you can only go 1000 meters offshore.And have to launch at specific Areas.

You can join umdloti ski boat club. R500 once off then R250 a Year.

Hi, most 3 seaters are a safe bet, as you need the lenght (over 3m) or you cannot get it sea worthy. Speak to your preffered brand dealership, they can guide you.

I like Yamaha, so any VX series or FX will be fine.

Then you need the basic fishing setup on the ski. Such as x4 rod holders and a fishing bag as a starter (and ofcourse the rods, reels, etc).

Launching, can get complicated. Most places if you are not a member you will need your own 4X4 (as they are not happy to lend out the tractors, not even at a price!).

Launch it as close to the water as possible, then you should be able to push it in yourself. With mine I can (VXS, hull seems very light), my brothers VX is a bit heavier, you will struggle with 1 person to push it in.
