Hi fellow anglers
It has been a while since i was logged on, so here is an update to my fishing stories.
I had some great catches in Dec of grunter in the Durban Harbour during a 4 night duration, all catches were from 1kg above. I fish from 6pm to 6am. But when sleep got the better of me during my 4 nights of 6 to 6 fishing i left my lines hunting the big ones and went to sleep. When i return to check my lines always one was bust, once right from the 3 way swivel. But 1 morning my bro got up before me and was checking the lines as he tugged my 1 line it pulled back heavy, so he quickly started winding the line around his palm, but when the fish pulled it began to strangle his palm. He then started wrapping it around his elbow and palm as you do with a hose pipe or rope. After bout ten minutes he managed to get it out the water and lift it 10m onto safe ground, this grunter weighed in at 2.6kg.
You probably wondering if you thinking right, yes you are this fish was caught on a hand line, if you thought bringing out a fish with a rod and reel was tough, well its childs play compared to using your hand.
