How to collect natural bait?

Pretty much as the title reads. I would really like to know how to collect natural bait as it interests me a lot. Like what baits can you collect and how do you go about collecting them? Thanks in advance to anyone with good advice. Cheers.

Guess the answer will all depend on what fish you are trying to target ?

I would like to target barbel, kurper, yellowfish, bass and carp. As these are the fish I have the most access to.

Hi there, fish will choiw a variety of natural baits.
Barbel - miswurm compost heaps. Baby birds - nests.
Crickets- under leaves and rubble. Flying ants-after rains keep and freeze. Snails-evrywhere. Insects-rotten wood. Frogs-stagnant pools. Koringkriek parktown prawn- in the toilet when your girl in there.
Start a compost heap and you will have giod fresh bait
