howsit mate, its the easiest thing ever2 catch mackies...i catch them often on my fishing ski using yozuris. Tie the yozuri to your mainline, tie a sinker, 4/5 ounce mybe heavier depending on the undercurrent. and just drop it straight down...just bob it up and down, work the water column until u find the suckers...try bend the barbs of the little hooks with a pliers, this makes it easier to get them off and also damages them less...happy hunting! :)

If you're fishing a very rocky area a sabiki will get stuck quickly with all those flailing hooks. I use the following two traces which are pretty much snag proof in the water.

The mullet trace can be used for any surface feeding baitfish such as - mullet (duh), ballyhoo/half-beaks, garfish etc.

this trace is very good at not getting stuck. Try use cork floats as opposed to plastic ones as they can break easily from the sinker and bouncing off rocks.
