how do u reverse the line on your spool

Guys Im having a blond moment ? how do u reverse the line on your spool easily ? I.e. i want the bit thats secured to the spool hub up front and the older bit on the hub ? I know commercials do it with fancy goodies but cant recall how? thanks doff!

The only way is onto 2 spare line spools. Roll onto one, then the other and then back onto the reel. Sorry no short cuts!

EDIT:
If you are talking about mono, I'd rather just buy a new spool of line. Much easier and your line is fresh.

By the way had the idea of winding it between two trees in my garden then picking up the font end and rewinding it back , providing you dont overwind on the tree , complicated and probably not possible with 600m??

Get 2 old spools.
Take 1 old spool, big one, attach it to a drill with thread rods and nuts, place reel on free spool, or loose drag, and tie on line, and let rip with drill.
repeat process onto other old spool, and then reel onto reel !

to save u all of a headache , make sure the reel you're winding from is secured (anonymous source) a reel advancing at you at 3000rmp is very fast and eina.

Just use a drill with a variable speed.

and make sure your reel is secured !!!

I didnt the first time, and had the drill on a fast setting, and had a Saltist 50 almost hit me in the face !!!

Homie you don't need 2 spools, I change mine on a wood lathe. Use your drill an insted of another spool, use a long bolt and 2 big washers, secure the washers and off you go. One bonus point is that the reel don't take off with a lot of speed.
