Stu, Blakes is the beach in Strand just left of the Pavilion. I go there as there are some kob and geelbek that came through in the summer months and was hoping for winter kob to make an appearance but nothing so far.

Of the reefs there are good catches of kob and stump nose and spotties... I'll take a page from Hannes's book and start throwing live mullet there...

The short answer, it's close and convenient and relatively save for fisherman and vehicle.

I caught a cobbie there last year august,just about size.

Cnt remember wind tho.( Maybe light NW)

Medium cast 70meters maybe
Spring tide
Maybe 20metrs right of the wooden jetty.
Running trace.
