HoseCoil and Johnson Pump

Hi guys

I was at the boat show and saw many installations of HoseCoil with various installations setups, most of them were run with johnson pumps. This is a deckwash setup.

I googled it but can't seem to find a company in SA that sells it and neither a company that ships it to SA.

Do you guys possibly know where to get hold of this?

Lowrance stocks deck wash systems. If you like, I can get you a price. But not sure who is the Johnson distributor.

I'm assuming that the HOSECOIL you're refering to, is that springy type coiled hose. If this is what you're looking for, go to your local hardware store or any of the major stores, like Game. They all sell them in their gardening section!!

Then its simply a matter of buying whichever pump suits your needs.......

Yes its those slinky hose pipes, which we have, the nice thing about the hosecoil is that it has a neat housing that can be fitted to the boat. There are various styles available.

Miles is right. Makro stocks them. Was just checking around. Call Skiport, I'm almost sure they stock the Johnson pumps.

Difference between slinkys and hosecoils is about R1000 - had a look at some recently - awesome but boy are they pricey hosepipes

Manex Marine in Paarden Eiland, CT. Had a number of really nice versions in moulded fibre housings. Ranged from around R600 to R1500 if I recall coreectly.

I understand that this is not exactly what you are looking for but it works for me. I bought ours from Campmaster and it comes in a canvas type bag.

You can also give these guys a call even though they are located a bit far from you. They have a huge variety of goodies in stock.

I had the same coil on my boat.

For a housing / bracket... You can use a PVC pipe, I think you need a 100mm or 127mm pipe. The coils sit in the PVC pipe. Cap the bottom.
