How is the fishing in homestead I used to fish there when I was a lighty got some of my biggest carp in that dam

Havent caught anything there in the 3 times I went there. decided to go to ashton lake rather. will let you know how it went.

doup thats no good dont feel bad i walked 20km looking for a spot to fish but every where i went there is fences up and private property signs so did not evan get close to the water

As a lighty also got some of my biggest fish there on sour mielie meal, and barbel that just smashed you on "day olds", we hosted an open comp tere when I was chairman of Phoenis Anglers a few years back, the only fish that came out where a few smallish barbel caught on snails. Are there still big fish in that dam .......

That would be great. I go to the other dam also , the one on the golf course side. Apperently there is some fish, but also blanked there the one time I went there.

i have not fished homestead for 17 years when i last fished there it was ileagal to fish there but one thing that got the bites was red aniseed and platties but here they ileagal to use now

Regards other dams Look to fish the third dam at benoni the one by the mine dump, I was there a few years back and there are a lot of carp fisherman there fishing boilies the one gent showed me pics of fish he had caught there BIG carp and he told me many a time he got smashed by barbel, I do know about a year ago te dam was filled with Hysynth so I am not to sure how many of those fish are left there....
