Hi Guys
Just wanted to give a short report of my holiday at the coast . Started off in durban and fished Umdloti with no bites . Tried diff baits etc fish where not playing the game . Next day fished at the durban beach front , where some grunter were coming out but not alot . I had a few bites but nothing hooked . Used prawn and sards . Got a proper hiding at Salt Rock where i got burnt off , my guess could be a diamond or sandy . Later in the week i stayed at Port Edward holiday resort infront of splash rock . This is truely one of gods greatest places to be . I managed to get a few black tail and a nice stone bream about 1.5kg . No shad were around and was very quite with reagrds to the game fish . I slid out a mackkie with red eye fillets on the side at Splash and got me a Hound shark . Awesome fight and even made my Saltist 50 scream
. That was my highlight of the trip . I flew to Cape town for a week and got some fishing done at Langebaan . Caught 1 undersize shad which went back . My first on an onde onde , the purple one . A few black tail and a pajama shark good fun . Well that was my trip . Hopefully the fishing picks up for my next trip .
