I am pleased to announce a casting competition arranged by Hiawatha Angling Club, to be held at Cato Manor Sports Grounds commencing at 08h00 on Saturday 17 May 2008.
Please note that there will be fixed spool, Scarborough and multiplier divisions for entrants. Entry fees will be reasonable, R 30 per casting discipline. Normal fishing tackle must be used at all times. There are good prizes on offer to the winners of the respective divisions, and the top five casters wil be asked to participate in a cast off with some exciting new fishing reels and deliver input as to the product. Pre-competition entries will enjoy a reduced rate of R 25 per discipline. Crack offs will be strictly monitored and penalised at R 5 a time...and you will have to retrieve your sinker!
Pre-entries can be made at Tackle Centre, shop 5, 121 Old Fort Road - opposite Kingsmead cricket ground.
Rules and regulations, as well as divisional prizes will be announced as soon as sponsored prizes are finalised, but at the moment we have at least one rod, two or three reels and other assorted angling related prizes on offer.
