Hi,

Regarding my cheapie Sensation alarms that works really well and the rain - Has any one come up with an innovative way of keeping rain from destroying their alarms apart from placing plastic bags over them :)

When you see a storm brewing just cover them with some cling wrap plastic. It does not blow off and is easy to remove after the rain.

Those cheapie Sensation alarms are very good value for money. I bought a pair more than a decade ago and my dad still uses them to this day. They've seen good weather and bad, had plenty runs and still going strong.

Coat them in silicone for water resistance and when the heavens really come down take them inside and rather fish without alarms, they'll last you a good while.

Yes definitely open the alarms up and spray some silicone spray on the electrics inside, especially around the area of the wheel as this is where it is most open. Perhaps put some duct tape over the battery cover.
