I wish I could go, but I will let these buggers know about the comp. We are out here in the sticks it is the first word about the comp I heard about. Are you guys visiting us on 23 January?
Hi 4Tuna - You did not miss too much fishing in December. The weather was terrible down the South Coast. Was your trip to the UK lekker?

Ya I heard things were not legendry but things have picked up lately. I dropped a big sallie of Ramsgate on Friday. I had 2 rods out I think it hit the 1st one and I killed the mottor but it went on off. I reeled back to the ski and the 2nd rod went. It did about 6 jumps and then I notoced that the pressure on the rod was different to the head shakes ans the line had wrapped around the tail and I got burnt off. I was so depressed. There have been a lot of bill fish around with quite a few marlin and sallies comming out and al ot of guys reporting on off's.
The dorado have also come on the bite but to my knowledge not in great numbers. However there has been a westerly today and tomorrow and I am told by the local guru that this will make them eat. So I wait with baited breath but as neptune would have it the weather is not looking to clever for the weekend. I may try and sneak a launch in tomorrow but busy at work so will have to see.

I'm in for this comp, furthermore, I met Brendan / the organiser a couple of days ago by chance and he advised that there were 70 jetskis for this comp at Ponta.

Does anybody know of any official documentation or web page regarding the fishing lisence and launching fee for Mozambiuque? The Port Captain at Ponta charges 500 + 400 mt = 900 mt and uses his own exchange rate. Somtime I pay R300 and sometimes R100. In the past he sold you a lisence if he cought you with out one. Apparently he now fines you if finds you without a lisence.
