Awesome gents!

Hoe would 1 october work for you? It would give everybody enough time to make arrangements?

@Superman, it might be slightly early for the barbel, so I'd fish worms as carp would also be happy with them! Dip them in ebony or ming oil or similar and shake in red powder and you should go on!

So heres the report as promised....arrived at 9am and the place had about 5 spots open with lapas which was shocking considering the awesome weather...around 9:30 got our rods in the water...i fished 2 carp rods and 1 barbel rod....so till around 12pm no-one had a single bite and then across the dam there was a guy that pulled out a small barbel about 2kg....thanks to my binoculars i could see the fish from the other side....after that it went quiet again, around 15:30 i decided to go with my cuz to grab a few more beers. as we got back while filling up the cooler around 4pm my barbel rods goes screaming...first catch for the day about a 1.5/2 kg barbel....so with that motivation my cuz decides to re-bait one more time and as he starts reeling in , hes policeman picks up in the middle of the dam and hes luck the fish was still on...anyways we reeled it in and again another 1.5/2 kg barbel...i was surprised that the barbel came out on cinnamon dough also while taking out the hook from its mouth , i discovered that it had a lot of bom in its mouth...long story short its the first time ive seen a barbel come out on a carp rod.....all in all it was a good day to relax no carp came out from anyone at the dam just 3 barbel.....i hope things change soon because i have a trip to Koppies at the end of the month
