Hi Guys

Ive been working on a point scoring system for our club that can be universeraly used. Sea, rivers or even fresh water. All can compete againt each other.

Would like to know the math behind SADSAA calculation.
Need to know where the multiply by 32 comes in. Know its a given but want to know why.

METHOD OF CALCULATION
The points for each individual fish will be calculated as follows :-

FISH WEIGHT DIVIDED BY THE LINE STRENGTH IN KILOGRAMS , THE RESULT SQUARED AND THEN MULTIPLIED BY 32. THIS FIGURE IS THEN MULTIPLIED BY THE FISH SPECIES FACTOR APPLICABLE.

E.G. A 56KG MARLIN ON 8 KG LINE

56KG DIVIDED BY 8 (LINE CLASS) EQUALS 7
7 X 7 (RESULT SQUARED) EQUALS 49
49 X 32 X 1 (FISH SPECIES FACTOR)
EQUALS 568 POINTS
