Hi guys

Is there such a thing as personal space when fishing ?  You pick your spot,put down your kit,put your rod holder in the spot you would like to stand and bait up. There is a guy standing a distance behind you watching, you catch a fish and go bait up again,you catch a second fish you then need to bait up again,you turn around after baiting up,and that guy is standing in your spot, and will not even look in your direction. This seems to be happening more and more lately, I go fishing to relax not go to battle. Is this the norm or am I going fishing to often ? :doh:doh

YEs I agree it does happen even off a boat - the guys will come and sit right on top of you....

Very sad that it ends up this way

The Strand,Melkbaai on Saterday night,and the beach was empty........:dohI made him move sharp, sharp,but it spoils the trip. You go fishing to relax....

any guys throwing straight in front of my rod stand will defintely get some attention from me. and I dont mean park your pipe and have lunch 30 meters from it , if you leave it un attended then its your problem.But if I go and bait up and he stands in front of me , good luck , he will quickly move as I will bite his line off in no time when I wade.OK sometimes a beach is crowded and we all push a throw now and then , but dont sit in your bakkie and when the first fish comes out come stand in front of my stand.That is just poor 'etiket'

I saw a guy do a 200m sprint from his car in 3 seconds once , He parked his pipe far down the beach in front of my pipe I then gave his line a bit of attention when I waded and left his line before he saw me.I think he got the message and reeled in and left.
