dont go unless you have bucktail jig heads.they the ultimate for sea and shore

Howzit Leonard,

Silly question: How do you fish a bucktail jig.  Tried it many times but only once caught a fish on it, and probably that was by fluke too (small grouper foul hooked whilst jigging the bottom, offshore).  Maybe I have been using it wrong?

Do you put a piece of bait eg fillet on the end? Or perhaps a dropshot minnow?

Any advice appreciated.

howsit, i do know that there is a way to fish it,but dont know,some guys wind it,some guys jigg it like drop shot.off the boat you drop it down then lift it up and down quickly.from the shore i use the tip action and hit it twice then reel hit reel ect.only caught yellowtail and a giant trevelly of 4kgs.but the owes nail fish using that jigg on esa.
