Hey, don't know Durban harbour to well. One thing that I do know is that dropshot at night is great. Vision for the fish is less, but they can still see (glow in the dark colours work). This is the time when you should be casting dropshots with paddle tails. The water displacement triggers the action from fish via its lateral line. I have hooked a very nice springer of Richards Bay harbour one night, but unfortunately lost it close by. Here is some pics of fish caught at night.

Mmmmm, been wondering about those Nuclear Chicken Jerkshad...... Those things MUST be a killer at night. Colour contrast must be effective.

From the boat, will definitely be kob and geelbek slayers in the dark........

True, haven't thought about trying for kob and geelbek at night of the boat. Will give it a go as soon as the kob is back in May.

Gave it a shot last night(dbn bay),tried camo worm, nuclear chicken and this other glow shad..only one bite on the glow(tail got chomped) whole night but no hook up,maybe cos the wind was giving or maybe m doing something wrong..only juvenile spotted grunter landed last night by the bait fisherman, and 1, 40cm cock grunter.hope we get better luck next time.
