Hi guys

Had a session at a small private venue this morning... saw a lot of bubbles and cruising carp. Floaties and mielies didnt produce so I thought I'd try something that I'd heard done but never done myself with wild carp - feeding them bread

I broke up two slices and chucked them out.. Within 5 minutes the carp we had seen cruising tentatively started investigating the bread... Long story short, I got this 12lb one my ultralight rig - 3lb power pro and a sedona 500 reel on a 4ft rod

Also saw a really beautiful copper coloured carp - really distinctly copper in colour.. would have loved to catch him!

My friend also got 2 bass, an I nearly hooked a big one on while retrieving my carp leadhead

chec how this one was chowed by a terrapin!

He also hooked his first barbel on lure, but unfortunately it found the reeds before it could be stopped...

and then we got hungry so stopped by McDonalds on the way home

Very nice Aqua! By the looks of that mouth on the Carp, looks like it wasn't caught before, no hook marks! Must have been fun on the light set up!

Yeah few if any people really fish there. It was a lekker fight on the tackle, this is actually my line to weight ratio record for freshwater - 4: 1

I think I will catch it again, next time.on fly!
