Hi guys

For a category " E " vessel of less than 5 metres where should the anchor light be mounted. Is there a specific height and or position that it is required to be?

post a picture of your island runner (bass version) I would like to see what it looks like. I have a normal one.

The all round white light needs to be higher than the tallest person standing and any part of the boat so it is visible from 360 degrees.
The light can be mounted anywhere you like.
The light is an all round light, not an anchore light so it needs to be turned on at all times at night.

Hope that helps.

Silly question I guess the light would only be needed in emergency situations? Category E night rating?

By the way, SAMSA regulation says: " For vessels under 7m with a maximum speed of 7knots, only a single round white light is required.
All other vessels under 9m require an all round light as well as starboard and Port side navigation lights."

Therefore if your boat does more than 7 knots, you need to fit navigation lights.
