HI all!!!!

I would like to know what is more important when fishing conventional carp...when most people talk on the forum it is usualy what flavours was used on the bomb and almost never the hookbaits is the flavor on the bomb more important when catching fish than the hookbaits?When fishing do you usualy keep your hookbaits plain for example a plain floatie and an SWD or do you flavor your hookbaits most of the time?

Location, location Location is the most Important thing, Carp arent overly fussy.. yes certain baits have more effect and yes certain carp are Rig shy yet, but  you put a bait in front of a hungry feeding carp and hes yours!!

I smoke ciggerettes and never touch a hook bait without latex glovesm bear in mind a carp sense of smell is better than ours!!! just keep them air tight dip or not

I think dips are more talked about than hookbaits because I find that the right dips are more important than hook baits for eg. if you get the fish in a feeding frenzy by using the right dips at the right depth, the fish will take just about any floatie you throw at them aslong as you stick to sweet flavours if you're using sweet dips and vice versa. My usual combo is a sweet yellow floatie on the bottom hook like banana or caramel and a plain white on the top hook. When the fish are fussy I sometimes switch to soft bleeding floaties. In general, hookbaits are up to personal preference. My suggestion would be to always have some plain white floaties, SWD and yellow or orange sweet flavours.

Baie mense maak die fout dat hulle dink dis die dips wat die vis vang. Geure speel def 'n rol maar ek het al baie keer goed gevang met n plain bol, plain degie en float. My advies: back to basics.

Casting catches carp when catching from the bank.

We all have the same bait and same dips.

The guy you can accurately and consistently present a bait among feeding carp will always catch more than the guy that is spraying it all over the water.
