hey guys

jus wanted to let you guys know that fishing in durban bay has been totally banned unless you have a boat

i was fishing at round bush on sat at 4:50 and the saps arrived they first checked my

fishing licence for what i am still confused

and then they escorted me to maydon wharf where i was given a fine which i was told was going to be r800 for fishing in a no fishing spot

so why check my licence if they say there is no fishing in the bay

eventually i was given a fine of r200.oo

Sorry to hear thats exactly the same thing that happened to my buddy from pinetown apparently round bush is also totally closed to fishing.

was also there on friday night , near the park by bat center , cops pulled in and said u guys have 5 mins to pack up and leave , didnt check for license or anything , then there was like 5/6 cops sitting at the entrance of bat center and abt 3 cop vehicles constantly coming and going while we packed up .


Went to grunter gully , there was a pvt security patrol van , the guys told us we cant fish there either, we need to go to north pier to fish , told him its closed, he looked at me and said "hun-garse"  my friend.

These guys must go worry about the crooks. That is why when u call these cops to attend a problem,they have no manpower or transport but yet there is plenty of them worring about we fishermans trying to do a honest sport.

What can we do ,so that atleast allow us a certain area for fishing in the harbour. Even the graveyard is bnow closed.

Hi everyone, i had a bad fishing time tonight at hawe next to the boat museum. Was insulted by 3 fishermen, please dont go fish alone. Take friends with you. They take a change with you when alone, i have been doing drop shot and they came and put they line next to me left and right to hope that you wil leave. Then when i pul one of they line out they insulted me. Verbal abuse me.

Hey Venter sorry to hear that.

Next time call the cops and have these guys charged for crimen injuria.
