Does anyone know where the best place to weigh a record in durban is?
(just in case ^^..)

Hi Mike,

If you think the fish is a record, try and get a hold of me. Enough Dbn guygs know somoeone who knows me. Rob, Jeremy, Sergio and Shane all know me and can get in touch with me. I will be able to organise that the fish be weighed on an assized (calibrated) scale.

Also, most of the clubs have (or should have) calibrated scales they use for comps. One of the other benifits of being a club member. If not possible to weigh the fish immediately, keep it on ice or freeze it then can weigh the next day.

I hope you're a SAUFF member, and remember, it takes a hell of alot of skill and technique to shoot mullet. Definitely not a record to disregard.

The problem with us is that we think bigger is better when the opposite is true. The Aussies keep records for every fish and some of the most prized ones are fish we would term too small to consider.

That is also a reason we get destroyed at international comps. The guys in the Med hunt Blacktail, Mullet, Karanteen etc and show their catches with pride. Here the attitude will be one of contempt and ridicule.

Go try and shoot a 1kg Blacktail...

@Corry I see that the two-tone fingerfin(Bottervis) record is vacant, but in one of Rudi van der Elst`s books the record is 2,6kg?vvbafvvvvbafvv
