Harties

Hi guys me and my girlfriend would like to go try out harties in a few weeks. Does any one know of a safe place to go fish at.. costs? as well as baits to use depth etc.. and how is the fishing there?..would realy apprieciate the advice.

Hi Steven,

I would strongly recommend Ifafi Aquatic Club. Was there earlier this year and had a great time. Can't remember costs, but it was a little pricy, but well worth it. Very suitable venue to bring the Mrs. to as well.

As for baits, small soft float with SWD, and single mielie pips worked for me. When I was there I was catching them on just about anything I threw at them. I was eventually fishing plain with no dips and still getting fish. But from past experience at Harties I have alway found the following to work there, Almond, Banjo, Triple D, Dusk and Dawn, Rose, Bunspice or Perdeby, and Q35. Always been my go to flavours for Harties. As for mielie pips, almond and Banana have always produced the goods!

As for your lielie bomb, each guy has his own preference, but I have always and will continue to keeping using plain Super Cast.
