Hi, does anyone know how the bass fishing @ Harties are? I hear they say there is ood bass there...

Just came back from the dam, and the guys there say there is bass but I am not so sure . I have spent 2 hours there but nothings. I think I need to be more patient...

there are bass in the dam are you fishing off a boat or from the side?
my PB of 3.62 came out harties...

Hi Scuba, I was yesterday on a boat, and this morning from the side @ Schoemansville Oewer club). I am very new to Bass and am sure I am not doing it right as I have no one to show me. So I am learning on the forum and reading books and the internet

ok don't get yourself down... fishing at harties is tuff... harties can really break you... if you are on a boat then try bird island, the boat docks around pecanwood and then up to the reptile park (close to the dam wall)

forgot to mention, I see many Bass guys in that bird area near Meerhof @ Harties. Maybe I should try there next time.

Was there on Saturday at a friends house for lunch.
Got a boat ride to the tree line along side the main road near the dam wall. Tossed a Senko and picked up about a 1Kg Bass that took me a while to land.

The water really does not look nice but it's my fist fish out of Harties and enough incentive to go back!

Heading to the Vaal River tomorrow for lunch, will take the rod with and see what I can get from the bank.

I got no Bass, but did land a 1,2Kg Carp and about 300g kurper

going back tomorrow to practise more

I am yet to cast a bass line into those them waters.... soon, perhaps this year still....
