Hard choices

So my trusted old shimano stradic 8000 have called it quits after very hard and good service on the ski.
So im in the market for a new reel. I really dont like the new stradic. But wont judge as i have not fished with it.

So im thinking of going the saragosa way. But again i hear of drag knob problems with them.

What to do? Any input appreciated.
Any one knows of a tackle shop that still have stock of the white body stradic? Will be my first choice.

The new Stradic is an amazing reel for the price, but if memory serves me correctly, it's only available up to 5k... The SW series of Gosa are also fantastic. Never had an issue with mine, as do I suspect with thousands of other owners. I'm sure that the drag knob loosening issue is an isolated one or two.

Congrats on the reel Malboer. From what I understand, the gosa has a sealed drag system which will be useful on a kayak. The new stradics have the same. other then that, they are both solid reels.

Agreed on the sealed drag Bijen.
My old stradic gave me so much pleasure without a hikup. Tbats why this is first prize for me. Any reel that can handle five sailies a couple of couta and tuna in one day after 3 years of much more fish and much more thereafter is worth it in my book at half the price of a sarragosa.
