Had some rain Friday night so only started fishing Saturday Morning. Small grass carp were a pest and took anything you throw at them. Big cats were scarse. Saturday 6pm it started raining again with big winds and thunder nd kept on raining to 11pm.

i enjoyed it... the deeper water are close to the bank, like 20 -30m from the bank. I want to go again but will plan better with the weather then

Any Carps?

what advise can you give with regards to fishing there.

no no carp... but didnt try with harder baits such as maize and tigers, only targeted grass carps as i targeted cats. Used banana and ebony floats with plain bomb, got a feeding spot going and from there on the takes were every 10mins or so... you should pick up carp easily if you use mielies.

Are there at least decent size grass carps?
forgot to mention looking at your pictures the venue doesn't look very nice, your "sunrise picture" is grass edge concreted right through.
