grandwave spool tight when adjusting drag

Guys maybe someone can assist. Bought a secondhand grand wave 50 and cleaned it out and gave it some lube but I think I did something wrong... not the spool seems to tighten up when I set the drag high...

Open it up again and check if you assembled it correctly, remember you must only grease the drag washers lightly, If all ells fails PM Enigma or Old Salt for advice

Sounds like you've inserted the drag plates in the wrong order. Look on the the Daiwa site, you'll find the schematic drawing of the reel. Print it, strip the reel and re-assemble.

Thanks all I managed to find my mistake...It was the "drag spring collar".
