Good evening, trust the reels are running and fishing is good?

I installed a Garmin GPS Fishfinder combo on my Seadoo GTI 155. Great combo however when removing the unit in the evenings while at the coast, the pins corroded to the extent that i had to purchase a new unit. Surely all of the jetski anglers face the same challenge? Any assistance or recommendations to prevent a similar failure on my new unit?

CRC26 , its an electrical spray. I have had a garmin on my paddle ski for more than 3 years, spray the plugs/pins every single time you disconnect. I do this on my jet ski as well although the plugs mostly stay connected. Also disconnect battery power when plugging in and unplugging.
