Hey guys,
So our boat came with a Garmin 140 fishfinder and a Garmin 152 GPS. They are both in mint condition, but we don't like it. Since we are new to the sea etc we want to get a newer GPS with color maps so that we can better see where we are and how far we are from the shore.
I am looking at the Garmin 50dv and since it is a combo, my dad suggested I sell our current fish finder and GPS first. We have only had the boat now for a few weeks but previous owner said he removed and stored in boxes the units after every trip of his.
So if I want to sell this, how much can I ask for it? A mate of mine is already interested in the fish finder, but I have no clue what to charge him?
I was thinking to ask R1500 for the fish finder and R2000 for the GPS... Is that fair or not?
I searched around on the different forums and old ads but the value or price of units sold ranges from 900-2500 second hand.
What are your thoughts?
