GARIEP DAM

I want to go and fish at Gariep and I am looking for a place to stay (camp) and fish. I am looking for a bit of piece and quiet.

Any suggestions??

I stayed there when i drove down to Cape town last year and it is clean and next to the dam. I booked one of their caravan stands. It has a kitchen and toilet with bath and shower for each stand. I tell you, it was one of the best caravan stands i ever visited. You can pitch a tent also next to it.

if you really want to fish then i would sugest get everything you will need and go to the novalspont side of the dam as you passing the electiacal station you will see a gravel road go on it.
as you go on for about 500m you will see the dam if you going barber go futher to the right (away from the dam wall
if you are going carp go the the left (closer to the dam wall) i landed a 8 kg there!

I'm also interested to try and do some fishing at Gariep Dam.
