Thks for the advice PH , will do in future.

Have caught bass on the poppers and small saltwater species on the flies. Its fun to see yr own handwork doing someting right ::S

Greetings Ben

Nice going there Ben. Do you cast the poppers and flies, with fly-gear or with spinning gear?

What materials are You using in the plugs? How do you make them?

Morn LGF,

Thks mate,

I use the flies on a nr8 Fly outfit in the salt , and the very first white and red and white popers for bass on nr 7 freshwater outfit.

Other poppers are meant for salt.

My plugs I've made from the small to the largest with from using dell rods to broom sticks to the thick wooden grooved curtain holder (Wooden pelmet). No two of my items are exactly the same cause i drill a hole through the lenght of the the plug, shape it on a round disk fitted on a standard drill.

Then use st.steel welding rod wire for the larger plugs , wrap and match the lenght acc to the plug size, fit it in to the plug , close the bottom end of with old rags and pour melted lead into the top part.

Then round of the excess lead with knife, paint undercoat with grey heavy duty meant for workshop floors then about two coats of standard white gloss.

Lastly attach st.steel rings with hooks of own choice.

I am yet to find a step by step lecture in airbrush painting , cause i think it would look much better.

Its fun makong them.

Regards Ben

Hi Bennie ,

As I said to LGF , its fun to make  , but because I make them using a round sand disk fitted on a drill , no two are the same. Maybe a good thing - will get bored if all looks the same :SSS

U must let me know what u want to trade with ? Just rememb I am no pro as yr hand work - yrs is wow and can sell like cake on our local stores if ever u should go big.

U just have the hand to do it - keep it up Bennie.

Regards Ben.
