Float session 25/06/2009

Morning guys,

Yesterday was a crazy session. Somehow I knew it was going to be difficult. Not 100% sure but I think I knew it when I woke up and could not feel my feet from the cold. lol

Got to the spot by 7am, had my floats in by 7:10am. All was calm and the carp were feeding every where but not where I needed them to be feeding. Fed up 3 areas with pellets and bread and waited. By 7:40 I had my first float lift and bang I was in. The fight was very dissapointing, didnt even run that hard and before I knew it was in the net. About an hour later my other float shot up and then went under the water and bang, another one on. This one gave me a much better fight but it was short lived and it was in the net in just under 5 minutes.

The wind started picking up and out came the heavier floats and weights. About and hour after ptting them out I sat watching my float lift slightly and drop for 20 minutes, it didnt lift enough for me to think it was time to strike so I left it. All of a sudden the float popped up and layed flat on its side and bang! Like I said to Ryan, I have felt big carp at the end of my line but nothing like this. There was no way of me turning the fish and it ran me straight into a snag by the island and off. Its all part of fishing I guess but very frustrating to say the least.

Sorry about the ground photos but there was no one around to help with taking it.

1st carp.
