Myself and Joey-lee met up with dantamabi @ Blaauwpan Saturday 23.06.2012. The weather was terrible with cold winds and rainy weather in between.

We sat by the old club house closeby the reeds. I managed to land one decent looking carp on: Hasbeen/Stokstyf on the bol, the top hook I had a big yellow float hooked back into the bol, bottom hook I had swd and  a pampoen pit. Distance I fished was appr 60 - 70mtrs.

Danie managed to catch a small barble and a carp as well.

I was o there from about 10 am until 2pm.

Good stuff guys.

I assume you guys did not use a bait boat?

On one occasion at bloupan, some guys with a bait boat caught 6 carps, size between 4kg and 7kg. Bait was mostly tigernuts, and boiles.....mostly almond flavor. This was 4 weeks ago.

But good catch guys, I would be stopping at Bloupan during the week.

Thank you for the feedback.

Ja its was full out papgooi session. I did find some boiled sugar beans on the bank, so its more than probable that the previous angler used the specimen approach.
