Yup, TackleDirect is the place to purchase online. Whereas Cabelas charges a standard 40% of the value of items purchased for international airfreight, Tackledirect actually made the effort to shop around and the costs were half that! They also have a great selection and at the same prices as Cabelas - hell, they even threw in a free spool of line.

make sure you buy the tackle before you get to Qatar.

www.cabelas.com is a good place and they have shipped stuff to Qatar before and they are reasonable

what to catch - its mentioned in my previous posts and most are available from teh shore

if you have access to a boat then gamefish are on offer and mostly on rapalas - these people here do not know yet how to fish with bait
