Hello all

Currently in the States and fishfinders are WAY cheaper here. Going to Bass Pro Shops on Sunday and need to get advice which to buy. Cuda 300 is $ 70 while the Garmin 140 is $ 120 I think. Have done a bit of reading and both models popped up as decent units - any advice?! Heading back home next weekend so this is my last opportunity to buy

Thanks!

Remember when buying there you will not be able to claim under warranty here! I would take a chance! both units are good buy the one you like the most!!!

Bought the Cuda 300 - cost me $ 80 though so R 600! Still a lot cheaper than back home. Looking forward to testing it out when I get back!!!

Shortcourse I have one of them on my ski and it works like a bomb. when you get home and are ready to install it, go have a look at a previous post in the paddleski forum on how to install a fishfinder on your ski. i've posted some pics on how i installed myne with out doing the "shoot through hull" type. my transducer sits in the water inder the ski on a removeable suction cup and this way you have more clarity.it's also the easiest way to install with least amount of headaches.  alt give me a shout and i'll guide you.
