This is one of the jewels of my collection.Made in England just before the first world war in 1911.Its called the Kings Patent reel.The reason it is so rare is that WW1 broke out so only a few were ever made.It has a brass foot which swivels to cast, a line guard and rachet.The handles are made from horn.It was given to me by an old timer along with a wooden rod.
