Hi all....

Okay I'm going to share with you one of my biggest fishing secrets ever..not even my dad knows this...I wasn't really born into fishing so all I know is by trying and testing and by joining this site...I have revealed this on a radio station which is also a fishing programme...I have received feed back that the listeners have told the host that it works well...now this is what the secret is...ice cream syrup...it may be a little thick thus makeing it a hook dip as well as a "bol dip"...only a little concentrate is needed to attract the fish...the flavours that I confide in are the strawberry, raspberry and banana...these are VERRRY VERRRY cost effective and sell for about R10 a bottle.

Are you talking about thd syrup they use to ma milkshake? I know a few guys who use it. I can get 1lt bottles at about R20 each. That stuff will last a long time, unless you drink it...lol! Caramel is also a good one to try.

Ja I guess you could use that, it is also sweet although I was talking about the one you put on your ice cream for flavour....it tastes yummy also..lol

Ek het al met goeie welslae die Kulfi Strawberry stroop in die Vaaldam gebruik. Baie goedkoop en jy koop dit by Lekkergoed-Winkels. Gooi baie Flouro by.

Dit is dieselfde stroop wat gebruik word op die Draai-roomys wat die karretjies verkoop ;)

Hi guys. 2 things: Im sure your talking freshwater angling ne? And as im new, what is mana and how does it work? Cant find an explanation anywhere on the site please.

yes we are talking fresh water and a mana as far as i know is if you give someone good advice and the person feels you deserve a mana then he gives you one i'm under correction here

Dynamic yes i do the fresh water thing when visiting the inland provinces. Caught 3 carps of about 2kg each in a dam just outside Randfontein 2 months ago. My first fish were carps caught in the swartkops as it flows past Despatch. Many years ago!
