Elbow pain

Hi Jacoob, yup it does work, in some instances permanently. In my case, I had a few months "relief" and then the pain would come back. Not the physicians problem - mine. I do a fair amount of manual effort in my "job" so there is no time opportunity for natural recovery. The ligaments and bone need time to heal and bond without stress and crazy stuff necessary for my job. An inconsistent healing process will have tearful outcomes - ask me? I know.

This is my 2nd Cortisone "session" (last one was in May this year) and this one was a PROPER session!!!!! I know it will work, but also understand that it is an interim solution to a bigger problem that won't self-rectify given my job and lifestyle requirements.

That's the shite thing about going on 50 - we aren't bullet proof anymore.... Regardless of what the brain and heart say.

Cheers, RB

royboy I had issues with my shoulders (cartilages and calcium build up)and could hardly use my arms. The injections and stuff helped for a while and you know the rest. Well I eventually had enough and went for the op, first the right shoulder and it was such a success that I went for the left shoulder without hesitation. Well I would say it was the best choice and my suffering is something of the past.

Thanks Charles - you said exactly what my doctor said (his wife had the procedure a few months ago, and she is stoked!!!!) Total success for an active lady!

The extended recuperation period is what worries me - a good few months to be back to "normal" so that delays my surgical procedure until May next year, and then there are 3-4 months to do required physio etc. DREAD!!!!!

Thanks for the interactions, pretty scary when I see how many other people have these blasted ligament issues as well! When it gets extreme, people not afflicted don't believe when you try and describe the debilitating agony!

My good night thought, is for everyone experiencing this - please get better!

Cheers, RB

The past weekend has left its toll on the left elbow.

Used to fish with the butt along the forearm or under the arm pit. No way jose! This weekend I fished with the butt on the belt buckle. Its not great for controlling the swim of the fish and showed in the number of fish lost.
It was a barbel of 8kg that ripped me for at least 15 minutes.
I felt bad when I started instructing my peg partner with a less than friendly tone.

So Friday I have an appointment for the needle !
