Duck question

Has anyone out there removed the pontoons completely from a duck that has a solid hull and bouyancy. I have a 5.2m duck that needs new pontoons and the boat it self is mint. I have removed the old pontoons and the boat section looks as if it will work well without pontoons on a river but not out there in the deep.

I need some info or advise

As long as you displace enough water, to carry your weight, you should be fine. try it out in the pool, or small dam.
