Dropshotting Bara lighthouse/tofu Mozam

hey everyone, im off to mozam this dec, staying near barra light house area.any tips regarding drop shotting.baits, where to go, tides, equipment etc..and also wondering if it would be worth throwing a spoon or two???any help would be lakka...shot..

Hi dave-hed , the best will be at the lighthouse. There is a large reef surrounding the point.I had success on 3" & 4" gulp minnows in pearl blue shad , pearl watermelon shad on 1/4 oz jig heads and 1/8 oz jig heads.Caught some kingies around 1 kg and smaller.I used standard light - medium tackle , 8ft medium passion stick , daiwa procaster 3500 loaded with 8lb hi abrasion.

will also be in the area over December, never been to this area but have done my homework on google earth to find fishy looking spots. As kleinboet says lighthouse will be a good option but the points toward tofu and drop offs along the beach will have potential too as long as the crowds arnt too bad.
we are taking a duck along to access the closer reefs too just to give us another option.

i would definitely take a heavier setup for plugging, and a reliable dropshot setup coz those kingies enjoy a floundering 5 inch minnow
