Dropshot in the Wilderness area?

Ahoy. What tackle do you guys have at the moment as that will interpret where you Should go try.

hey guys.
those 9ft xxx are cool. might be a slight bit heavy on the wrists but im sure you will get used to it.
i prefer to use the fluke shape as they throw alot better. the paddle tails do work but some times that extra 5 to 10meters in youre cast is the differance between hooking a fish or not. leadheads with bucktail also work well and some of them if tied correctly throw even further than the flukes so they are a must have in the tackle box.
and then some plugs. im sure if you go to the point there of sedgefield you will get some good leerys and even some yellow tail on the right conditions
the surf there is also good and then theres obviously robberg. GO BIG OR GO HOME. good chance of leerys from meidebank to the point and then from the island. the west side there is a awsome place ti spin and breath taking.

Hi Sharky I just had a brainF@rt last night. The next calm day we should go play at Gerickes amongst the rocks with Camo worms, from what I have read here they look deadly, and start from there, we can even try for some leeries off the point if we get there early enough?
Think it will do our confidence a world of good if we can get a bit of a pull on our rods?

Hey guys, best place to start drop shot fishing is the rivers for sure, and the wilderness area is blessed with good estuaries nearby. I've caught plenty of leeries and the odd grunter and steenbras in rivers here. Most consistent bait for me has been the camo worm, just working the bait slowly on the bottom.
Haven't really tried drop shot in the surf a lot yet, its a bit tricky and need a slightly different setup for it. But it can be rewarding if you give it enough time.
