I am heading to Mboyti in the transkei, a little North of Port St Johns, over December/January. Please any advice/tips as to where to fish, what works, best tides etc ???????
I was in Port St Johns last december and Over that period there had been a hell of a lot of rain fishing was a waist of time. I hope things are better this time round.
hi was there last year in december weather was on its head but was able to get a bit of fishing in.
got a 1.5kg steenbras on camo worm along the rocks in the lagoon just under the hotel and another guy got a nice 3kg rocky.
otherwise just a few shad at the mouth.
in the past i have picked up a 11.5kg kob on live mullet on the left hand side rocks and a 3kg Blue shad.
sharks point is good for sliding but make sure you have the tackle as the are a few Zamboz in the area that bust me up.
otherwise flat rocks about 4km east along the coast is good for edables.
