Dropshot fishing in Hole in the Wall (December 2010)

Good day All,

I will be in the Transkei (HITW) between Xmas and New Year. What would be good plastics to take along for dropshot fishing in that area ?

Hope to get some information as I need to buy plastics and not sure which ones to get

River or sea ?

Paddle tails are good for cob and many other fish

Take some bucktail jigs with u aswell

I would take some small crab type plastics, the worms and sea lice imitations. most of the beaches along the transkei have plenty of 3 spot pompano and this would be what i would use for them (No experience with drop shot though).

That's good advice

3inch soft plastics will also work great, especially the Mcarthy Sprat

For cob and so forth try 5-7inch paddle tails

Camo worm will also get u lots of fish

Take some bucktails, a spoon or 3 and a plug or 3

thanks guys for the advise, i will try them. just one last question how do you retrieve these plastics for cob ? I am not familair catching cob on plastics

Slow and close to the bottom

Look for holes and banks !
