I used to do a lot of business in Cambodia. What really blew my mind was the systemised system of accepted corruption you have there.
As an example: you want to be a police officer. You set your target as being a constable. You then go around to all your friends and family to raise the money to buy the position.
From now on, all the bribes you gather, is split equally between the people who helped you buy the position, according to shareholding.
Obviously, the higher level of civil servant you are, the more money you are due for bribes, and the more expensive it is to buy the position. Mind bogling.

Ok seriously....... what about the fishing in Cambodia..freshwater fishing...do you need a boat?
- are there fish everywhere?
- what about the three rivers in Phnom Penh, no shore fishing???
- what about teh pond or lakes around PP?
- what about taking a boat into the flodded forest and picthing a plastic bait ???

The main rivers here are the Tonel Sap and the Mekong rivers. Boat is best, I hired a small "ship" for like 100 USD for the day, and went down the Tonel Sap, past the royal palace, and up the Mekong.
There are massive fish here, but the currents are strong. The best is to use local bait, I tried alot of Gulp products, but I doubt those fish know what the hell it is!
There are dams inland that stock MASSIVE fish, mostly some type of catfish, and all you need to do is ask one the the locals how to get to one...Watch out for the commercialized ones, there are not many, but they will rip you off!!!...And go by taxi, the bikes are dangerous off road.
