Drop shot

Hi PE guy, I prefer not to use a clip-on on my dropshots. Especially when I fish with small dropshots as it make the profile a tad bigger. I just do the rapala knot every time. PS: I found that I caught more fish using the rapala knot than on the fig of eight. The reason is that the dropshot can rotate freely and perform the action it is supposed to do.

Hope I helped,

something that is becoming very popular is to have a swivel at the end of your fluoro and a splitring on various jigheads...saves time....saves fluoro...gives action....doesn't affect the number of strikes

I like using small snap links if I'm experimenting with various lures, otherwise the FC leader shrinks rapidly.  Rosco duo lock snaps are strong with a fairly low profile but a big enough gap to allow lures to maneuver freely.

Beware of imitations, they're usually not as reliable as the Rosco ones.
